[origin: WO2008154949A1] The invention relates to a thread-laying device for use in the production of a bobbin wound with yarn, preferably configured as a cross-wound bobbin, having a laying drum (2) that can be rotated about an axis of rotation (1) by means of a drive, the drum having a thread-guiding slot (25) on the cylinder surface of the laying drum (2), wherein the axis of rotation (1) is formed by a shaft (6) having two shaft ends (10, 11). One of the shaft ends is designed as an assembly shaft end (10) such that the shaft (6) having the assembly shaft end (10) is mounted to the thread-laying device and the second shaft end (11) is designed as a free shaft end, such that a one-sided support of the laying drum (2) is formed.
