[origin: WO2009000572A1] According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a hazard warning unit for a vehicle is disclosed, for detecting hazards and for warning about hazards, which hazard warning unit has a plurality of sensing units for sensing measured values and an analysis unit for analysing the measured values. If a hazard is detected, a hazard message is transmitted to a central server which can then pass on said hazard message to other vehicles. Hazard information can also be buffered by the server.
