Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2172136A1] The furniture (10) has a seat part (14) adjustable for adjustment of a seat depth, and a rear part (18) adjustable for adjustment of a backrest height. The seat and rear parts are coupled with each other by lever arms (30, 32, 34, 36, 38) e.g. articulated levers, such that movement of the rear part causes and/or reverses a movement of the seat part. An energy storage (40) e.g. gas spring, is provided for supporting the movement of the seat part and/or the rear part. The energy storage is formed for supporting enlargement of the seat depth and/or backrest height.
