Abstract (en)

A method of hanging a curtain on a curtain track 13, the method comprising fitting the curtain to a loading device 30 in the form of an elongate track, lifting the loading device 30 up to the curtain track 13, aligning one end of the loading device 30 with an end of the curtain track 13 and sliding the curtain off the loading device 30 and onto the track. The curtain is slidably attached to the loading device 30 at a low level and accordingly, the need to lift up the curtain and then engage it with the track by interconnecting hangers one-at-a-time is avoided. Also disclosed is an apparatus for hanging curtains, the apparatus comprising a curtain track having a first track section 13, a second track section 14, a bridging track section 15 detachably interconnecting opposed inner ends of the first and second track sections 13,14. With the bridging track section 15 removed, the loading device 30 can be used to slide the curtain onto the track 13 at a point remote from the opposite ends of the track, which ends may be difficult to access or may be fitted with finials, end stops or pull mechanisms etc.
