The cleaning device (100) has a cleaning band (11), which is designed as adhesive band. The adhesive band is provided with an adhesive layer on a sticking side aligned to a punching cylinder (10). The sticking side of the adhesive band acts on the punching cylinder for cleaning it. An independent claim is included for an automatic method for cleaning a punching cylinder of a production line for labels or other blanks with a self-adhesive layer.

Mit einer Vorrichtung (100) sollen eine manuelle Reinigung und eine hierfür erforderliche Demontage eines Stanzwerkzeuges einer Etiketten- oder Stanzlingfertigungsstrecke entfallen. Dies wird durch ein Reinigungsband (11), das als Klebeband (12) ausgeführt ist, wobei das Klebeband (12) mit einer haftenden Schicht (14) auf einer zum Stanzwerkzeug (10) gerichteten Klebeseite (15) versehen ist, und wobei die Klebeseite (15) des Klebebandes (12) auf das Stanzwerkzeug (10) einwirkt, um diesen zu reinigen, erreicht.
