[origin: EP2172380A1] The conveyor (2) has a carrier rail (4) i.e. I-beam section, and a carrying wagon (8) comprising a load carrying chassis (24). The chassis has a drive roller that rolls on a drive bearing surface of the carrier rail. The distance between an axis of rotation of the drive roller and the drive bearing surface of the carrier rail is reducible by a pressing device (68) depending on the weight of an object to be transported. The pressing device has a supporting bracket (40) for carrying the drive roller.
