Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2912659A1] The device e.g. Intra gastric balloon (1), has a flexible pocket (2) filled with an inflation fluid e.g. silicone gel, where the pocket includes internal face (2A) and external face (2B) and is made of polymer material such as elastomer material. A cover (5) that is made of metal and/or ceramics covers the internal face and/or external face of the pocket for increasing sealing of the pocket to the inflation fluid. The flexible pocket is formed by reunion of flexible sheets that are superposed and attached together along a junction line. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a surgical or medial device such as intra-gastric balloon, implanted in a human or animal body.
