[origin: WO2009022071A2] The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a sheet material, comprising at least two fibrous plies juxtaposed one on top of the other, said process comprising the following steps: a first paper ply, which includes at least one elongate region of zero thickness, is produced by filtration of an aqueous suspension of fibres on the wire of a first cylinder mould or of a former, an at least partially transparent element being inserted into said ply during the formation of said ply, and such that said at least transparent element is placed at least in said elongate region of zero thickness; a second paper ply is produced on the wire of a second cylinder mould so as to form at least one recess in said second ply; the two plies are joined together so that at least one recess in the second ply is located facing said at least one elongate region of zero thickness of the first ply comprising an at least partially transparent element; and thus a window is formed and the structure thus obtained is dried.
