Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009016052A1] The invention relates to a quick-response power supply switching device, and also relates to a supply network including such a switch. The power supply is connected to a set of blocks, and the device comprises at least one switch (3) connecting the power supply (VDD) and the block (1), the value of the supply current flowing through the switch being controlled based on the difference between the supply voltage (VDD) at the other blocks and a voltage threshold. The invention can particularly be used for recent-technology integrated circuits in which it is important to reduce the leak currents of the transistors in unused portions of the circuits. Accordingly, the invention is particularly useful for a majority of the cell- or battery-powered systems, in particular for the circuits of cell phones.
