[origin: EP2174851A1] The chair has seats comprising safety bars (8) extending transverse to the seats and pivotable from an open position into a closed position. Separating elements (11) are arranged between the seat surfaces (6) of the seats and rise over the seat surfaces, where height of upper sides of the separating elements backwardly continuously or discontinuously decreases relative to the seat surfaces. The separating elements have side surfaces sectionally concavely and/or convexly curved and/or linearly run. An independent claim is also included for a chairlift comprising a chair.
