Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2174852A1] The chair has seats with a seat surface and a safety bar extending transversely over the seats and pivoted from an open position into a closed position. Securing parts i.e. protective panels, are arranged on the safety bar and extend in a direction toward a center of a front edge of the seat surface in the closed position of the safety bar. The securing parts have an upper section (20) adjacent to the safety bar and oriented toward the front edge and an end section (21) oriented at an angle (alpha) of less than 180 degree to the upper section. An independent claim is also included for a chair lift comprising a hoisting rope.
