Abstract (en)
The method involves determining a parameter e.g. asymmetry factor, characterizing distribution of combustion indicating values i.e. crankshaft angle values, acquired for a number of cycles before a current cycle, and defining a threshold for the indicating values using the determined parameters. Starting of abnormal combustion is detected by comparing each of the combustion indicating values with the threshold. Occurrence of the detected combustion is controlled in a combustion chamber (14) of a supercharged spark-ignition internal-combustion engine (10) of a vehicle.

Procédé de détection de combustion anormale pour moteurs à combustion interne (10) à allumage commandé comprenant les caractéristiques suivantes: Pour chaque cycle moteur, on détermine un paramètre caractérisant une distribution de N valeurs d'indicateurs de la combustion, le CA10 par exemple, acquises sur N cycles précédant le cycle en cours, en s'affranchissant des valeurs extrêmes. A partir de ce paramètre, on définit un seuil pour l'indicateur de la combustion. On détecte alors le début d'une combustion anormale en comparant l'indicateur de la combustion avec ce seuil, et on contrôle le déroulement de la combustion anormale détectée dans la chambre de combustion.
