Abstract (en)
A drive unit has an electric motor (01), an encapsulated motor housing (08), a rotor (03) and a stator (02), between which runs an air gap (05). A motor shaft (04) activates a pumping unit. On the motor housing there is an inlet port (14) and alternately an outlet port (15) so that a substance flowing between these ports because of a difference in pressure is guided through the air gap. The inlet port connects to an evacuation chamber and the outlet port connects to the suction side of a first vacuum pump.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Pumpenanordnung, umfassend eine Pumpeinheit (22) mit einer Pumpe, einem Pumpengehäuse (21) und einer Antriebswelle; und eine Antriebseinheit mit einem Elektromotor (1), einem gekapselten Motorgehäuse (8), einem Rotor (3) und einem Stator (2), zwischen denen sich ein Luftspalt (5) erstreckt, sowie mit einer Motorwelle (4), welche die Antriebswelle der Pumpeneinheit antreibt. Am Motorgehäuse (8) sind mindestens ein Einlass-Stutzen (14) und ein Auslass-Stutzen (15) derart gegenüberliegend angebracht, dass ein zwischen diesen Stutzen aufgrund eines Druckunterschieds strömendes Medium durch den Luftspalt (5) geführt wird. Der Einlass-Stutzen (14) ist an einen Evakuierungsraum (23) und der Auslass-Stutzen (15) an die Saugseite einer ersten Vakuumpumpe (24) angeschlossen.
