Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009015503A1] A system for combining groups (5) of flat objects (6), particularly printed products, comprises a matrix-like arrangement of a plurality of group conveyors (1) and a plurality of feed conveyors (2) disposed above the group conveyors (1), wherein all conveyors mentioned are operated continuously and the operation of all group conveyors (1) and all feed conveyors (2) is rigidly coupled. At the feed points (3), which are regions in which a feed conveyor (2) crosses over a group conveyor (1), group conveyors (1) and feed conveyors (2) are rectified. Both the group conveyors (1) and the feed conveyors (2) can be returned, and the steps for receiving objects (6) by the feed conveyors (2), for transferring the objects (6) to the group conveyors (1), and for transferring groups (5) to a removing conveyor or further processing station are strictly synchronized and are selectively performed or suppressed in a controlled manner. The system allows the production of groups (5) with high capacity, wherein the objects (6) are neatly stacked, and also allows automatic correction of feed errors using a simple control.
