[origin: WO2009018670A1] The device (1) is used to cut a longitudinally moving thread-shaped body (9). It comprises a cutting blade (5) and an anvil (6) interacting with the cutting blade (5). A solenoid actuator for the cutting blade (5) comprises a plunger coil (3), a two-piece magnet return path yoke (21, 22), and a solenoid plunger (4) connected to the cutting blade (5). A supporting structure (7) carries the plunger coil (3) and the two half-yokes (21, 22). The half-yokes (21, 22) are attached by elastically deflectable arms (81, 82) by means of engaging closures (71-74) on the supporting structure (7). The device (1) therefore has a simple design and is easy and cost-effective to produce.
