[origin: WO2009018865A1] The invention relates to a power steering pump drive having a single- or double-stage condenser unit, said condenser unit comprising a housing, a piston, a cylinder, a piston rod, a drive shaft, and a cam shaft, said condenser unit further comprising a power steering pump having a housing and a piston. The housing of the power steering pump is flange-mounted to the housing of the condenser unit. The piston of the power steering pump is in a drive connection with the cam shaft of the condenser unit. The invention is characterized by the following features: the power steering pump is disposed on the side of the cam shaft opposite the piston of the condenser unit; the drive connection between the cam shaft and the drive shaft of the power steering pump comprises a geared drive; the geared drive is encompassed by the housing of the condenser unit.
