Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2177287A2] The arrangement has a support jaw (11) that is provided on a side of longitudinal axis of a workpiece (2) to be processed. The support jaw defines a groove facing the workpiece. The former support jaw arranged in a position of extension provides lateral support to the workpiece being bent in specific direction while another support jaw (12) remains in a position of retraction. The latter support jaw arranged in the position of extension provides lateral support to the workpiece being bent in another specific direction while the former support jaw remains in the position of retraction. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a bending machine for left and right bending of rod shaped and tubular workpieces (2) a method for bending a tubular workpiece.
