Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2177366A2] The wire comb (10) has teeth (12) attached in perforations provided in edge regions of flat pieces. Wire sections (18) extend in a longitudinal direction of the wire comb. A cross-section of the wire comb is shaped such that the teeth are linearly designed at insertion sides in an open condition or before insertion of the teeth into the perforations. The wire comb is bellied, pitch circle shaped, curved or rounded at a side facing away from the teeth. The wire comb is made of metal wires or plastic wires. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for binding flat pieces stacked on each other (2) a device for binding stacked flat pieces using a wire comb.
