[origin: EP2177662A1] The method involves utilizing a hot air jet (17), which is accelerated to supersonic speed, for cutting knitted or woven goods. A supersonic air jet is utilized with temperature of 400 degree Celsius, where the air jet is heated within a hot air cartridge (6) around temperature of 780 degree Celsius. The air jet is accelerated by the cartridge, and knitted or woven covering material for an automobile inner covering part is cut by supersonic air jet. The goods are provided with a composite material (18) selected from glass fiber mats, glass fiber or carbon fiber web or foam material. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for cutting knitted or woven goods with a composite material.
