[origin: EP2177748A2] The injection device (1) has a valve arrangement (10) with a valve (11) that is sealed at a valve seat (13), where the valve arrangement is arranged for a medium (M) to be injected. An impulse transmission device (24) is arranged between the valve arrangement and an actuator device (20) and separates the valve arrangement from the actuator device in a fluid-tight manner. The impulse transmission device transmits the impulse produced by the actuator device to the medium to be injected for opening the valve arrangement and for injecting the medium. An independent claim is also included for a method for injecting a medium by an injection device.
