[origin: WO2009039877A1] The invention describes a cylinder head having at least one rotating rotary slide valve, which has a recess, in order to open or close off an inlet or outlet duct, wherein a cross-section adjusting device is provided in the inlet or outlet duct, which cross-section adjusting device has two movable elements, wherein the first element can be placed from an initial position, in which the duct is not affected, into a position in which the first element projects into the duct and at least partially closes off the latter, wherein the second element is coupled to the first element and extends away from the first element into the duct. A third element for varying the control time is advantageously also provided, which third element can be pushed into the inlet or outlet section of the cylinder.
