[origin: EP2179840A2] The device has a folding device for folding a sack base, and a gluing station for gluing of base flaps of an open base quadrate of the sack base. Gluing grooves (6-9) of different dimensions are introduced on the base flaps in the gluing station. The gluing station is provided with an application head (1). Circumference of gluing application regions of the head is changed in a spatial direction. A maximum application region of the application head is shorter than a gap on a side of a base center line between an outer edge of the base flaps of sack formats and the center line of sacks.
