Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2179927A2] The system has two tool halves (1, 2) e.g. heat sealing lower and upper parts, that are movable relative to each other, and a lifting rod (3) that penetrates one of the tool halves (1) in an axial direction. The lifting rod is movable in the axial direction. A sealing (4) seals a gap (5) between the tool half and the lifting rod. A compressing device compresses the sealing in the axial direction, so that the sealing expands perpendicular to the axial direction and seals the gap. The device has a clamping plate (6) that is movable in the axial direction relative to the tool half.
