The invention also relates to a connecting apparatus having a cable connecting device such as this. In order to develop the connecting apparatus and the cable connecting device such that it is easier to fit them, with the connecting module being held reliably on the module mount, the invention proposes that it be possible to insert the connecting module in a fitting direction into a holding shaft in the module mount and that it be possible to latch it in a latching position to the module mount.
