The machine has a collation chain (20) with chain roof segment (23) with an extraction element (24). The portion of a chain roof (25) of the collation chain is formed based on the adjustment of position of the extraction element. A rotating shaft of the extraction element is located in the plane of the chain roof in the direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction (a).

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sammelhefter (100) mit einer endlosen Sammelkette (20) zum rittlingsweisen Sammeln und Transport von gefalzten Bogen (200), wobei die Sammelkette Kettendachsegmente (22, 23) und klappbare Mitnehmerelemente (24) besitzt, wobei das Mitnehmerelement in seiner Lage verstellbar ist. Das klappbare Mitnehmerelement (24) bildet in einer inaktiven Lage einen Teil des Dachs der Sammelkette und steht in einer anderen, aktiven Lage quer zur Förderrichtung aus dem Dach der Sammelkette hervor. Mittels einer Steuervorrichtung kann das Mitnehmerelement (24) angesteuert werden.
