The arrangement has two connections (16a, 16b) connected to an electronic ballast (12). The ballast differentiates loads connected to the connections, so that an analysis result is obtained. The ballast controls a lamp (10) connected to the ballast based on the result. A control device (18) attached to the connections is operated at the voltage lying at the connections and comprises a clock. The control device is in a position in which the load lying between the connections is changed by an electronic control based on information or signals, where the information is provided by the clock. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a lamp.

An eine 1 bis 10 V-Schnittstelle eines elektronischen Vorschaltgeräts (12) wird ein Dimm-Steuergerät (18) angeschlossen. Eine 1 bis 10 V-Schnittstelle zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das elektronische Vorschaltgerät (12) eine Spannung bereitstellt, die vorliegend das Dimm-Steuergerät (18) mit elektrischer Energie versorgt. Gleichzeitig erkennt das elektronische Vorschaltgerät (12) einen Wechsel in der Last, und vorliegend wird ein solcher Wechsel durch das Dimm-Steuergerät (18) vorgenommen, nachdem eine vorbestimmte Zeitdauer nach Einschalten der Lampe (10) verstrichen ist. Das elektronische Vorschaltgerät (12) erkennt den Wechsel in der Last und dimmt die Lampe (10).
