Abstract (en)
Use of silicon compound, preferably silicon dioxide or silicate layer for finishing of textile fibers, is claimed. An independent claim is included for improving the softness of textile fiber, comprising contacting the fiber with a surfactant containing wash solution and subsequently drying the washed fiber, where the fiber is contacted with the silicon compound, before, after or during contacting the fiber with the surfactant containing wash solution.
