[origin: EP2184473A2] The method involves assigning a pressure accumulator of a fuel injection device to a pressure sensor (S) and an injection valve. A fuel amount (Q) is injected into the injection valve below a stationary adjustable pressure (p1) in the pressure accumulator. A pressure difference (deltap1), which is developed by a pressure drop based on the injection process, is determined depending on the stationary adjustable pressure and the injected fuel amount. An independent claim is also included for a device for testing a pressure sensor of a fuel injection device of a motor vehicle.
