[origin: WO2009059753A1] The invention relates to an application system for the application of a sealing, adhesive or other coating material having a high viscosity, for example, on vehicle bodies. Said application system comprises an application robot fitted with an applicator (10) that contains an arrangement (61) with at least one application nozzle for the coating material, and a dosing device for the controlled dosing, according to requirements, of the coating material that is applied by the application nozzle. Said dosing device contains a screw pump or a spiral pump that is built into or onto the applicator (10), or into or onto a robot arm (2) of the displacement machine.
