Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009015787A1] The invention relates to a molding machine having a conveyor belt, on which workpieces (3) can be moved past tools by means of an advancing unit along a stop, wherein the workpieces are seated on horizontal and vertical spindles. The drilling unit (40) to be used in the molding machine has a drilling tool that is rotatably driven by a drive. In order to configure the molding machine and the drilling unit (40) such that bores can be introduced into the workpieces (3) accurately and without any problems with low design effort, a drilling unit (40) can be interchangeably placed into the molding machine. The drilling unit (40) has a clamping part for clamping into a tool receptacle (41, 75). Since the drilling unit (40) can be placed into the molding machine in an interchangeable manner, a dedicated machine within the drilling unit (40) is not required. The molding machine and the drilling unit (40) are suitable for working workpieces (3) made of wood, plastic, and the like.
