Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009044057A2] Ground electric-power pickup and guiding device for a vehicle (5), comprising bare conductors (22) under voltage, these being placed in a channel (2) made in the roadway (C) and closed off by a cover (3), whereas a pickup means (4), associated with the vehicle (5), comes into contact with the conductors (22) by passing via a slot (32) made in the covering (3). The conductors (22) consist of rails, while the pickup (4) consists of a carriage capable of running along the rails (22) and of being guided by them. The carriage (4) is mechanically linked to the vehicle (5) through an articulated arm (6), the direction and amplitude of the displacements of which, relative to the carriage (4), are measured and sent to the steering member control means of the vehicle (5).
