Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009027227A1] The present invention relates to a screw top having a tamper-proof strip, wherein the screw top (10) has a head plate (1), an at least approximately cylindrical cap jacket (2) comprising an internal thread (11), and the tamper-proof strip connected to the lower edge of the cap jacket (2) via an easy-to-tear connection (8), said strip being configured as a flexible strip (3), which comprises a first section (4) directed downward from the cap jacket (2) and a second section (5) attached at the lower end of the first section (4), the second section being folded toward the inside and back in the direction of the head plate (1), for latching onto a safety ring (21) on a container neck (20), wherein at least one extension (7) is provided in the axial extension of the second section (5), said extension being attached to the outer free edge of the second section (5) folded inward and leaving the inner edge of said section open. The second section has at least one recess and extends along the inner circumference of the screw top. In order to create a closure comprising a tamper-proof strip having the characteristics mentioned above, which further has the advantage of easy applicability, but simultaneously also has increased functional reliability in that it applies greater resistance to the rolling off across the lower hinge region such that it is practically impossible to release the closure by turning up the second section of the tamper-proof strip, the invention proposes that the extension (7) extends across the at least one recess (9) provided in the second section (5) in the circumferential direction.
