[origin: WO2009030817A1] This invention relates to an apparatus for cooling a building, comprising a ceiling element (1) to be arranged in a first space (30) and having an inlet opening (4), a channel (5), and an outlet opening (8). To achieve an efficient, inexpensive and space-saving solution, the apparatus further comprises: an embedded element (11) to be arranged in a floor structure (10) of the first space (30) or a second space abutting on the first space (31), the embedded element (11) comprising an inlet opening (12), a channel (13), and an outlet opening (14); and a feed pipe system (9) which combines the channels (5, 13) of the ceiling element (1) and the embedded element (11) together in such a way that the liquid exiting one (1; 11') of these via the outlet opening is led to the inlet opening of the other (1, 11).
