[origin: WO2009030536A1] The invention relates to a coolant compressor comprising an electric drive unit (2), a cylinder housing (1), a crankshaft (11) that can be driven by the electric drive unit, and a piston (12) driven by the crankshaft (11), supported in the cylinder housing (1), and compressing the coolant. In order to be able to dimension the main bearing length as large as possible, the invention provides for at least one height adjustment element (26) to be disposed between the cylinder housing (1) and the electric drive unit (2).
