[origin: WO2009033556A1] Compact dry-running piston compressor with at least one cylinder (1), for the compression of air by means of a corresponding piston (2), which may be driven by electric motor (10) with a crank drive, made up of a crankshaft (4) and connecting rod (5), rotatably mounted in an oil-bath-free compressor housing (7) on pre-lubricated roller bearings (6a,6b) and which generates an internal cooling air flow in side the housing due to the movement cycle. The compressor housing (7) comprises two housing halves (8, 9) separated by a partition wall (16), in order to accommodate the crank drive within the first housing half (8) and the electric motor (10) in the second housing half (9). A roller bearing (6b) common to the crank drive and the electric motor (10) is arranged in the partition wall (16) lying in the cooling air flow passing through the first housing half (8).
