Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009027370A1] The invention relates to a dishwasher (1) comprising a washing receptacle (2) with at least one sidewall (6), a vertically adjustable dish basket that can be at least partly withdrawn from the washing receptacle (2), a spraying arm (3), a feed pipe (4) for the spraying arm (3), said feed pipe (4) being mounted on the dish basket, and a coupling device (8) which encompasses a first partial coupling (9) and a second partial coupling (10). The first partial coupling (9) is disposed on the sidewall (6) and has a number N of superimposed first openings (14) from which a pressurized rinsing liquor can be discharged during operation of the dishwasher (1). The second partial coupling (10) is connected to the feed pipe (4) and has a second opening (20) which cooperates with one of the first openings (14) of the first partial coupling (9) according to the vertical adjustment of the dish basket such that the rinsing liquor penetrates the first opening (14) cooperating with the second opening (20) as well as the second opening (20) during operation of the dishwasher (1) and flows to the spraying arm (3) via the feed pipe (4). Furthermore, the second partial coupling (10) is designed in such a way as to close the remaining first openings (14) that do not cooperate with the second opening (20).
