Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009021628A1] The invention relates to a transport container (10) for loading and unloading piece goods (60), comprising at least one bottom (20) with a loading area (21), two side walls (11; 13), a rear wall (12) and a lateral loading opening (14). According to the invention, in the region of the bottom of the transport container (10) there is a conveying system made up of at least two driven conveyor belts (30; 30'; 30''), wherein the conveyor belts (30; 30'; 30'') are arranged one behind the other in the direction of the loading opening (14). The invention also relates to a method for unloading piece goods (60) from the loading area (21) of such a transport container (10), in which, at the beginning of the unloading operation, the front conveyor belt (30) at the loading opening (14) is driven in the direction of the loading opening (14), whereupon the respectively following conveyor belts (30'; 30'') are activated one after the other, until all the conveyor belts (30; 30'; 30'') are moving in the direction of the loading opening (14).
