[origin: US2010215531A1] A method for converting energy from compressed air into mechanical energy, and a compressed air motor therefor. The motor includes a shaft rotor and a counterpart rotor which intermesh with each other using trochoid toothing to effect rotation of a power takeoff shaft. Compressed air is used to operate the counterpart rotor which then operates the shaft rotor thereby converting the rotation of the shaft rotor or the power takeoff rotor into mechanical rotary energy.
