Abstract (en)
The method involves providing a sheet (9) made of a deformable material i.e. three-layer bubble film, with a honeycomb structure and with closed cells between a rolling device (3) or unrolling device and a part of a metal band (6) to be protected. Length of the sheet is formed corresponding to circumference of the rolling device or unrolling device. Gas i.e. air, is locked by the closed cells of the sheet. A face of the sheet is arranged with a coating to support adherence of the sheet on the rolling device or unrolling device and the band. An independent claim is also included for an assembly comprising a reel.
