[origin: CA2698620A1] The invention relates to a device for adjusting the distance of the stripper chisel (6) from the circumference of the work rolls (5) supported in the inserts of a roll stand, wherein the stripper chisel can be moved parallel to the roll line in the direction of the roll nip and away therefrom. In order to be able to perform an adjustment to different operating settings and diameters of the work rolls, it is provided that the stripper chisel (6) is disposed in a horizontally displaceable stand roll table, wherein the movement of the stand roll table (6, 7, 8) is linked to the vertical movement of the lower work roll such that the stripper chisel (6) can be moved away from the work roll (5) when the lower work roll moves upward, and vice versa.
