[origin: WO2009040488A1] The invention relates to a method for adjusting the temperature of a particle filter (5) in the exhaust line (1) of a diesel engine, said exhaust line (1) comprising: an inlet (2) for the exhaust gases from the diesel engine; a diesel fuel injector (3) forming a diesel fuel vaporisation system (VAP); and a catalyst (4) provided upstream from the filter (5). According to the invention, the method is characterised in that it comprises adjusting the air temperature (T5) upstream from the filter (5) using a quick control loop (10) for calculating a flow Q(iGE) by means of quick adjustment parameters using parameters (T4, Qair), and a slow control loop (21) for adjusting the flow Q(iGE) calculated by the quick control loop (10) for maintaining the temperature of the filter (5), by means of the slow adjustment parameters, close to a setpoint temperature (T5(con)).
