Abstract (en)
The device (10a) has a sensor unit (12a) with a sensor for detecting a ball (14a) partially by an object (18a) e.g. person, shielding a visible light. The sensor has a detection unit that determines a distance between the sensor and the ball. The sensor unit exhibits a transmitter for transmitting energy detected by the sensor. A computing unit interprets position of the ball according to rules of ball sports. The sensor unit has two sensor matrices (20a, 21a) that are aligned and/or positioned differently.

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Ballerkennungsvorrichtung (10a; 10b), die zumindest eine Sensoreinheit (12a; 12b) aufweist, die dazu vorgesehen ist, einen Ball (14a; 14b) in Form und Lage zu erfassen. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Sensoreinheit (12a; 12b) zumindest einen Sensor (16a; 16b) aufweist, der dazu vorgesehen ist, den Ball (14a; 14b) zumindest teilweise durch einen ein sichtbares Licht abschirmenden Gegenstand (18a; 18b) hindurch zu erfassen.
