[origin: EP2191970A2] The method involves generating reference data for each trigger, measurement unit (2,6) and register regulating unit (3,7) and transferring the data on the bus system (12) which refers to all common time reference that is formed by the bus system. A time interval limited by two time references is further divided by issuing a time signal located between the reference data. A signal is selected from the signal sequence formed by a trigger unit (4,8), for activating a measurement process performed by a measuring head (1,5). An independent claim is included for a register regulating device.
