Abstract (en)
The loading system (4) for a refuse collection truck (2) comprises: - a frame provided with a number of lifting arms (14) for lifting and setting down a container (6) that is being emptied; - a drive (34,40) connected operatively to the lifting arms (14) for lifting the lifting arms (14); and - a control connected operatively to the drive (34,40) for controlling the drive (34,40), wherein the drive comprises variably adjustable activating means for wholly or partially activating the drive such that the energy supplied by the drive substantially corresponds to the energy required to move the lifting arms (14).
