[origin: EP2192660A2] The carbon brush has a connecting unit (11) for connecting an electrical conductor and a contact part (12) has contact surfaces (14,16) formed for arrangement at a commutator (15). The connection unit and the contact part are formed into each other in a layer transition zone (13) oriented perpendicular to an abrasion direction of the carbon brush. The connection unit and the contact part form molded body in integrated manner.
