[origin: WO2009026994A1] A broadband exciter (100), comprising a magnetic element (2) that has a concentric opening, further comprising at least one oscillation coil that can be moved at least partially inside the concentric opening and along the same, a rod-shaped central element (4) extending through the concentric opening, wherein said central element is connected to the at least one oscillation coil and can be prompted to oscillate by said coil, such that the rod-shaped central element (4) on a first end thereof directly and/or indirectly produces sound waves in a first continuous frequency range and on a second end thereof directly and/or indirectly produces sound waves in a second continuous frequency range, which partially overlaps the first continuous frequency range.
