[origin: EP2193880A2] The method involves detecting an actual form of an upper surface of a side (1.1) of an optical lens (1) in the form of a semi-finished product using an optical measuring unit (2), before evaluating a reference form of an upper surface of another side (1.2). The actual form is utilized for evaluating the reference form. The semi-finished product is connected with a block piece at the upper surface of the former side. The actual form is detected after a blocking process. A reference form of the upper surface of the former side is compared with the actual form.
