The pump has a piston connected with a shaft, which are provided with bearings. A drive is shifted in rotation with the shaft. A hollow space (80) is provided in the shaft that is provided with two shaft journals (62, 63), which are arranged at ends of the piston. A longitudinal bar (66) is arranged between the shaft journals. A releasing structure is provided between the bearings and the piston. An unseparated and hollow inner area (82) is provided in the piston, where the hollow space is arranged in the inner area.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Wälzkolbenvakuumpumpe mit einer Welle (10, 14), einem mit dieser verbundenen Kolben (12, 16), einem die Welle in Drehung versetzenden Antrieb (54, 56) und einer Wellenlagerung (22, 24, 26, 28). Um einen kostengünstig herstellbaren und stabilen Kolben zu schaffen, schlägt die Erfindung vor, dass in der Welle wenigstens ein Hohlraum (80) vorgesehen ist.
