[origin: WO2009030860A2] The invention relates to equipment for transferring milk from a milking machine to a storage tank (3), wherein said equipment comprises a milk collecting tank (2) combined with a pump (6) for transferring the milk up to the storage tank (3) via a piping system (5) provided with at least one heat exchanger (10) for cooling or at least pre-cooling the transferred milk, said milk transfer pump (6) being driven according to cycles from information provided by a milk-level sensor arranged in said collecting tank. According to the invention, the equipment further includes a means (16), advantageously in the form of at least one circulator, for the closed loop circulation of at least a portion of the milk upstream from the storage tank (3) within the heat exchanger (10).
