Abstract (en)
[origin: CA2701683A1] The invention relates to an aqueous polymer dispersion comprising a copolymer made of 80 to 95 wt.-% esters of vinyl alcohol having C2 to C6 monocarbolic acids, 1 to 20 wt.-% a,ß- unsaturated C3 to C9 carbolic acids, 0.01 to 5 wt.-% di- or polyunsaturated monomers, 0 to 20 wt.-% non-polar copolymerizable monomers, 0 to 10 wt.-% monomers carrying polar functional groups, wherein the sum of the monomers is 100 % and wherein the ratio of polyunsaturated monomers to carbolic acid-bearing monomers is between 1:10 and 1:400, and the use of such dispersions for producing adhesives or coating agents.
